  • It's a nice area, my neighbors are relatively quiet. Gas for the stove is really cheap, electric isn't that bad. They pay for heat/hot water. Rent increases are not terrible, maintenance is usually pretty quick with fixing issues. My only gripe is theyre pretty slow at snow removal. They seem to wait until after the snow fall ends to start clearing, which in theory makes sense, but i don't know - i rather seem them start clearing with accumulation than having to walk through 4 inches of snow on the side walk or hearing them clearing at 3am.

This property (Palisades Towers) is an absolute dump. The heat is either turned up to make me feel like I'm in a scene from Aladdin or so low that I might as well be in (you guessed it) Frozen. It takes well over a day to get salt on the snowy asphalt and half the washers don't even work properly. Don't even get me started on trying to get something fixed in this place - I had to wait over a week to get a leak fixed in my kitchen (so I was stuck going to bar to have food). I hate it so bad here that I'm looking to move out before my lease is up because the consequences of breaking my lease are far outweighed by the joy of living somewhere else. If you're reading this, don't live in Palisades Towers. It just isn't worth it and my rent has gone up over $150 a month since I moved here 5 years ago, and I live in the basement (where nobody wants to live and shouldn't cost as much as they are charging me).

Excellent management of the building, our superintendent Moses always gave us prompt and polite service and repairs. Moving in was a pleasure, Mayra and Sandy even allowed us to come 5 days early pro-rated while we were in between apartments. After we moved out it was difficult though, Tuli was unresponsive for several weeks as I tried to obtain a simple rental verification from them for a new landlord. This delayed obtaining a new lease and also cost a higher security deposit, not to mention the headache of having to juggle temporary addresses, paperwork, and mail forwarding in a new town. After weeks of combined effort of calling and emailing, someone picked up and gave us a fax number to send the verification to. A week passed without reply after faxing the form. Lastly, my roommate and I both moved to different states. The security deposit was paid in full by myself, and we both requested in writing that it be returned in full to me. Tuli informed us that the deposit would be split between us and sent the check payable to both of us anyway. Since we were in different states and could not both sign the check, my bank informed me that the check could not be redeemed. I had to obtain his bank account information, then drive to his nearest branch and deposit the funds, so he could then wire the funds back to me. This experience after moving out was disappointing given the good service beforehand. More frustrating were their automated emails during this time asking for a review, when they hadn’t replied to my requests. Hopefully the requests cease now, and Tuli will provide better post-lease service to the next tenant in my situation.
